I am considering using Moonfruit to start up a website - I must say, reading the luuurrrve on here has definitely got me warming up to the 'officially' signing up with them. I have no experience in starting websites, a bit scary to start with, but sure it'll work out ok from what I've read on here. ;)

Good clear website - well done. Just one thing your navigation buttons appear to be cut off at the end. Regards.

I also submitted a support issue and recieved a response within 48 hours.Considering Moonfruit is a web based service I was happy with the support and thanks to Gary for resolving my problem.

I often read about peoples negative experiances with the customer support team and that the reply is often "slow"

I've for the first time put in a request/question and although it was a slow reply I would like to say -

- The customer service was FANTASTIC! They gave me the answer I was looking for and in much detail

- I was given a direct email address to someone should I need more help, so I would have been dealing with the same person

- When I sent my question, I was sent an auto responder letting me know that service is currently slow due to the workload

So just a quick "Share the Love" to all the moonfruit team for telling me from the start I might be waiting a short while, and then giving superb customer service when you was able to answer to my question.

I love building sites. During the free trial I was building very basic stuff, now that I have SIteMaker Max I am speding time, playing with gradients, and actually trying to build according to web standads and best practices. I honestly wish I could sit down and learn php but even I did, it seems like moonfruit would still be incredibly faster than creating your photoshop files, building the database, programming it.. etc.. I've got it all set up with Google Analytics.. man this is so much fun, so exciting. I do interactive marketing but on the account site, not development, so this feels really cool to be able to actually create something that looks good.

After all the research and contemplation, I really do feel this is the only option besides learning a language.. something like Weebly or Yola is too frustrating to build with compared to SiteMaker. And Wix... just scary.. I am so proud that I did not fall for that company, I think it would have been a nightmare. Poor Seo and poor customer service.. This Moonfruit forum is the most active forum out of all the other sitebuilders by far; it's nice to know I can come here and see things posted every day.

Seriosuly glad about the decision. It's super easy and I'm finding so much more cool stuff in the paid account.

I feel really good about it, no buyers remorse at all.

I know there are others out there like me, and they will possibly read this post, and take my word for it moonfruit is the best choice out there. (there are other compaines that use sitemaker too, moonfruit has got it together on all other levels the most)

The only thing better would be learrning how to program the hard way, which I'm not going to do, no time, no resources. There's nothing I need that moonfruit can't do. I just wish they'd respond a bit more to the forum, but when they have responded they've been super nice which is always important, and clealy have said they're very busy lately - so, that said, I trust that when I run into an "actual" issue they'll respond quickly to assist me because I assume that's why they're so backed up lately. (that twitter campaign must have really boosted their business, after all, it's why I'm here, it's how I first heard of them.. and I went for the sitemaker max account)

Seriously. I have been researching this everyday, all night, since the 22nd, so it's been over a week.

I take so long making a decision because when I make that decision I want to have no afterthoughts. I have looked into Wix, Weebly, SnapPages, Yola, Webnode, Homestead, umm.. a few others that are slipping my mind.

I feel 100% confident that Moonfruit is the smartest choice. I'm also sure that some of those others would be a nightmare when it comes to customer service. (Scary actually, with their bad customer service)

Moonfruit's forum is the most "alive" place ever, and no other company has anything like it. This forum is searchable which allows you to research issues, and moonfruit reads it daily, so they will get back to you.

Anothe plus is the the staff speaks English, that was something frustrating with the competitors.. They were simply rude and not helpful, they would lie and just.. ugh.. I'm telling ya.. I've really done a alot of research and read lots of reviews.

You cannot find anything bad about moonfruit on the internet - at all. The only negative thing I've read is regarding it being in flash, but hey, that's what you get with flash. What you may not read about is unlike all their flash competitors, they generate a complete HTML version of EVERY page of your website for not only SEO purposes, but for people who don't have flash - they'll still get to read the content on your site.

If you don't want to build your site in flash so that iPhone users can still view it, then moonfruit is not for you, but keep in mind you won't be able to have all the cool, fluid elements, as well as the multimedia effects.. Besides, unlike their competitors, iPhone users will still be able to read the content - and futhermore, Apple and Adobe are working to fix that, so that won't be an issue much longer.

Bottom line, if I wanted a site that didn't depend on flash and still be just as cool, I'd learn PHP but I don't have the time to do that. So, I will be signing up for the Sitemaker Max account. The only thing I'd like to see is more allocated web storage than the modest 1.5 GB. Still, I'm sold. :-)

BTW, will you ever come up with a way for moonfruit sites to be viewable on mobile devices?

I have been raving about Monfruit and trying to direct paying business your way... as soon as I get a second job I am going to upgrade, so hopefully I can try and launch my volunteering site. I am doing it all for love, hoping I can spread some around, so... love to you people.

Unfortunately,I have also to work with websites which are absolutely user unfriendly,

and way way out dated.How I wish and wish that they had Moonfruit sites!

As you can see from my site,still a lot to learn,(often get tips from our guests!) but I'm quite pleased with myself anyway!

And the good thing is,if you do make a mistake (and eventually discover it! ) moonfruit allows you to find out where you went wrong,and fix it. "Learning by doing"

Type "love coffee" in Google, Yahoo, Windows live or Ask Jeeves and my site comes up on the first page.

Although I am a designer/illustrator, there are only so many new design challenges I can spend more time on, and web coding is way not one of them!!

I'm all for getting out of 'the comfort zone' in design, but my experience is that almost any new illustration job that comes my way demands new skills / techniques/different software, etc anyway.

So to be able to create sites so easily (and its sooo much fun) with moonfruit, with no web design knowledge is an absolute gift to me.

Wanted to upgrade to the standard package: but had two sites on whcih I'd put in quite a bit of work! Support suggested upgrading one and asking them to move the other. I did. 5 minutes later: bingo! Done. Very pleased with speed of support.
